CVGS DNA SIG – Airtable for Genealogy Research
CVGS DNA SIG – “Airtable for Genealogy Research” by Shirley Vivion
Are you interested in efficient methods for tracking DNA matching data along with your traditional research?
Methodology for tracking components of research projects is important, especially DNA data with traditional genealogy records and documentation. Suggested methods may be applied using many spreadsheets or tables applications. However, Airtable offers a unique capability that links your tables together! Airtable is a free, online database application like Excel, but with a “relational” capability, allowing the sharing of bits of information across multiple tables.
During this workshop, we will have a video overview of Airtable, and Shirley Vivion will objectively demonstrate tracking her DNA and research process using Airtable. Shirley used an Airtable to organize her research project to complete the “Research Like a Pro with DNA course.”
