December General Meeting: Salt Lake City Library Safari 2021 Research Trip Success Stories

This meeting will give you an opportunity to hear of the exciting successes of CVGS members during their trip to the SLC History Library in November. If you have never been to the library you might not know the following: There are millions of rolls of microfilm, more than 500,000 books, serials, and maps. There are also hundreds of computers loaded with special record collections and premium websites for your personal use. Also available are library volunteers ready to sit with you and help you with your questions.

If you would like to be like one of these members you will have another chance coming up in the Spring. Do you think you are not ready to go? That is one of the advantages of going with a group like you will hear from at this meeting. They had the opportunity to become prepared before leaving for their trip. There were at least four or more pre-trip meetings with the leader of the group. These included how to plan your research, everything you needed to know about your hotel arrangements and transportation, and more. I’m sure any one of them would be willing to answer any questions you might have about their experience.
