Do you know we have a bit of Salt Lake City, Utah’s Family History Library right here in
Thousand Oaks? This local LDS Family History Center provides resources for research and study
of genealogy and family history without you having to travel to Salt Lake City. It might not have
everything that Salt Lake City has but it offers many resources that you cannot access at home
on the Family Search website. There is also a small genealogy library which we can see and use.

This special field trip is replacing this month’s regular meeting at the Thousand Oaks Library.
The History Center staff is putting together a few short presentations to show us what is available at this
location along with some helpful educational programs. Among them will be a short program
on the best way to scan your precious family photos and documents.

We will gather at 6:45 pm at the rear of the Family History Center located at 3645 N Moorpark Road
Thousand Oaks CA 9136.  Because we are limited to 30 members, please register by sending an email request to:  cvgsevents20@gmail.com by August 12 by 9:00 pm.
