The Conejo Valley Genealogical Society features five members presenting six short programs on
“Fascinating or Significant Events of My Ancestor”.
Jim Butcher will share an interesting
occurrence – his grandmother and her sister married a set of twins resulting in both simple trees but also confusing! Georgine Herd’s family was involved in WWII’s “Operation Skywatch” to help keep the Great Lakes secure during WWII and how her Native American ancestors sold land to the U.S. government only to have her relatives buy it back recently. Bill and Mary
Hurley’s grandfather and father both founded competing shoe companies. Barbara Warren will
inspire us with her coveted “gateway” ancestor, Robert Abell, bringing her lineage all the way
back to William the Conqueror!

Doors open at 5:45 pm. The meeting is open to guests. If you are not a member and would like more information, please email CVGSEvents20@gmail.com.
