May General Meeting: Your Favorite or Interesting Family Heirloom or Ancestor

May 17, 2022 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

We all have family heirlooms and ancestors, but what we will be doing is just picking out one to share with your fellow members with a brief three-minute story about it. This might be a pocket watch, special photo, quilt, hat, or lamp. All you need to do is have a couple of photos that you can copy and send to Bob Hazard at (use the underline/underscore in between the ra and hazard). He will develop the visual program for the May 17th event.

You will also have the opportunity to share something interesting about one of your ancestors. If you have one or two photos of the person please scan them and email them to Bob hazard. If it’s not scanned, you can mail the photo to Georgine Herd (, email her for address) and she will carefully scan it and return it to you. Your story is important to share and we want to hear it. When your photo appears on the screen during the program you can tell us something about your heirloom or ancestor. The stories are what make them special.

Please email Bob Hazard by May 12th with your name, photo(s), item description, and something about your treasure so we can develop the slideshow accordingly. Items for the program will be incorporated on a first-come, first-served basis. We will limit the heirloom or ancestor stories to three minutes. Looking forward to another fun evening.

You will be receiving your Zoom invitation the weekend just before the meeting.  If you are not a member and would like to attend, please email
